Evelyn Reed

Evelyn Reed’s career spans over three decades, encompassing stage, film, and television. A graduate of Northwestern University's School of Communication, she honed her craft at the prestigious Actors Studio in New York City. She has graced the stages of regional theaters across the country, including the Goodman Theatre and Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago. Her film credits include roles in "The Negotiator" and "While You Were Sleeping." As the founder of Sterling Academy, Evelyn is committed to providing a nurturing environment where students can explore their potential and develop the skills necessary to succeed in the competitive world of acting. Her approach to teaching emphasizes the importance of emotional truth, character development, and collaboration.

Evelyn's teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that every actor has a unique voice and perspective. Marcus Bell

She is also a certified Alexander Technique teacher.
